Whats up beautiful people? Before i start another of my trademark "mindless ramblings", i'd like to thank those who left comments on my previous blog-post. Very kind of you. And if you want yourself to be thanked too, then go ahead, leave me a comment or two. Uh, didn't that rhyme? Oh, and abuses, insults, praises, suggestions et al are allowed. So go ahead. I know what you're thinking already, you shrewd little creature with a cunning little mind. :D :P
Well, its been quite a fortnight for me. I've never been so exhausted as i have after this couple-of-week's studying. A day in the library/classroom with books in front of you is not cool. You're so spoilt for choice, cos there's everything left to study. So it's like being a little kid in a candy shop, minus the happiness. But the fact that you study with your friends makes things much much easier. A mixture of good jokes, ultra-sad-pj's, pulling of legs, and studies, at the same time, is pretty good if you ask me. Its all balanced. But then there are days when you study less and enjoy more, and you feel guilty as hell when you reach home. With a plethora of chapters to cover in each subject, i don't know how i managed to scrape through. Of course, i don't know what sort of damage might have been done. But i'm not thinking of that now, as it is all in the hands of the respective teachers. I still have a practical exam to give this Friday, but that's kinda okay, cos its a subject i'm very fond of. So i'll hopefully manage.
Friday's practical will be no end though. The real test starts now. The test of nerve, resilience, character, determination, perseverance, concentration and confidence. Heavy words they may sound, but this is a test that could be one of the defining points of my career. You could be forgiven for thinking that i'm an Indian soldier talking just before an imminent Indo-Pak war. But well, exams are indeed war-time for me. Squeaky-bum time would be more appropriate. Don't know what it means? Go figure.
It's the time of the semester you well and truly despise. It's not even worth describing in detail, so i won't waste your time. And mine. :P I'll be left with only 10 days before my first examination, which is Database Management, on the 22nd of this month. The bad part is that i turn 20 on the 19th. I wont even be able to celebrate it. Bah! What a life.
But there's a huge incentive this time. Semester 3 yielded pathetic results for me. A meager 61% is all i get, inspite of slogging that backside of mine off. Okay, there's no point in moaning now, and trust me, i don't want to garner any sympathy because i hate being in a position where people have to sympathize with me. And it's even more frustrating when you find yourself way off the pace in your class. Of course, it's a different issue that my class is filled with "n-1" no. of Einsteins. But damn it, you atleast expect to be slightly close to them when you study like a maniac. At times like these, you seriously start to doubt your own ability/intellect. I have done quite an extended analysis of where i've gone wrong. But i'm still perplexed as ever.
The only solution, i guess, is to just keep on working hard. Some day it might help. All i need is renewed confidence and concentration. The rest i think i can manage. But its difficult to get both of them. There's just too many things in life you get distracted by. And confidence is something you don't just get on a platter. It doesn't just "tapko" from the sky either. You have to develop it on your own. But how do you do it? It's a mystery.
There's just this urge within me to prove myself wrong. I know i'm capable. But i need to do more and talk less. The day i have proved myself wrong will be one of the best days of my life. Of that i have no doubt.
Well, i hope you're not too bored. This was one of those blog-posts where there's less sarcasm and laughter than i'd/you'd probably like. There are times when you just like to talk about such things. There are times when....*hears the sound of snoring*
Wait a minute!! You can't just go off to sleep like that. Heyyy!!!! Hello? Hellooooo? Hellloooooooooooooo????
:(
Jesus Christ on a Harley Davidson i say! I can't believe i was that boring. Sheesh!
Okay, i think i'd better go off now. I wouldn't want to be talking to myself. That is NOT a good idea.
Hasta maƱana, amigos!
